I was pleasantly surprised with how easy and quick the installation and configuration process was to get my Nanoleaf 4D up and running….instructions were easy to follow and the NanoLeaf 4D YouTube set up videos made this a piece of cake! My kids look forward each week to friday night movie night and when i got this connected it took our movie night to a whole new level of fun!!!
Quality of light strip and camera are really solid and the various light setting themes that you can choose from is really fun to add a nice vibe to your room. I’ve looked at similar products and for me the NanoLeaf’s 4D and camera are second to none and totally worth the price!!

Awful adhesive but decent lightstrip overall
The adhesive that's on the lighting strip barely adheres to the TV. I would recommend buying 3M VHB double-sided tape and cutting some strips (the entire light strip does not need VHB tape) to attach to the light strip. I thought the 90-degree corner brackets would have adhesive attached to them - unfortunately, they do not. Thus, you need to tape them yourself.The initial set-up was not smooth. The controller box would not connect to my network, and at one point, would not turn on strangely. It about 10 minutes of basic troubleshooting before the box worked normally and I could easily connect the light strip to HomeKit. When setting up the lights in the app, I would recommend watching Nanoleaf's tips and tricks video for setting up the 4D on their YouTube channel.The lighting itself is bright and relatively smooth. 4D is a direct mirror of the screen (e.g., if the top 1/3 of the screen is colored red and the rest is white, the "top" of the strips will be red and the rest will be white), 2/3D modes are somewhat similar in that it averages the colors on the screen, but 3D is more dynamic with accented color fading in and out.Overall, terrible adhesive causing longer installation time but the lighting works well.

I'm impressed by how cool this product is. The lightstrip adds an extra layer of immersion with what's on the screen and works surprisingly well. It was easy to install and included nice brackets to wrap the lightstrip smoothly around corners. The effect feels natural, and I find myself turning it on more often than I originally expected. The app also has multiple modes to adjust the effect depending on what you are watching. I highly recommend this product; it makes watching movies more fun.
