Obviously I read that it is certified refurbished and I was worried it wouldn’t work the same or something would be different but as of now everything is working perfect ! I wish I had purchased a refurbished one before It is half the price and just as good. For anyone looking for a keyboard on amazon I would definitely re buy from this seller and also I purchased a small insurance for like 30$ so I can get the keyboard replaced if this one messes up in the next 2 years which still makes it way cheaper than the original !     I received a brand new unit. The box was a bit beat up, but it was sealed and the keyboard looks and feels brand new. Very happy with this renewed purchase. My iPad fits perfectly and I can now utilize the ipad in a manner I would use my laptop, which is very good for my job when I do not have my laptop handy. The keys and trackpad are have very nice tactile response. The only 'con' is not having dedicated F and ESCAPE keys.

    Whenever I buy something of this nature, I’m always reluctant as the old saying goes “if it’s too good to be true, it probably is”. As such, I was expecting this to be in terrible condition or worse, a fake. While shipping was a bit on the slow side the keyboard exceeded my expectations. If it was used, I wouldn’t have known. The item I received was like new and I am extremely particular in finding defects. The keyboard worked as expected and I was able to confirm it was the genuine item.

    At full retail, this keyboard is not worth it in my opinion but at the Amazon renewed price, it’s a no brainer.

    A slick fun and well built keyboard that feels incredibly sturdy and serious for work. It technically introduces the trackpad and new gestures but also wireless charging and syncs well with stage manager. It’s however quite heavy so it should be treated imo more as a stationary charger. I’ll come back and review this after a few weeks of use but so far Im quite impressed. It’s better than the keyboard you can buy for the Mac in terms of feel and features. Future Edit: one thing that i really don’t like is that it’s difficult to open even if you get used to moving it, it makes me wonder if it was being built while the iPads weren’t flat because that’s the only logical reason why it’s designed with no opening point. Also the magnets are strong.. until they aren’t and your iPad will come crashing down if not handled properly. This feels like a really really good prototype that is better than most laptops but has some subtle things to be weary of.
